Say a prayer

Y'all please say a prayer for me and the babies. I got admitted to the hospital today. I'll try to do a post with updates soon. I truely believe the babies will soon make their grand appearance. I feel pretty good but I'm having signs of some difficulties. Everything keeps coming back normal but a little more toward the top of normal each time. Hopefully it won't be too much longer. Details when I'm able.

Doctor's appt today

Everything went good today @ our dr's appt. i couldnt have asked for a better report!! My blood pressure was perfect and the babies are doing great. I've gained 2 more pounds so now I'm up to 51 pounds altogether. Shewww....that's alot of weight. Haha

I've started to get tightness in my lower back and around to my belly, and come to find out that I've dialated 2 cm as of this morning. The Dr. said the babies could be here at any time. She said it should be with in the week. That was her gut feeling.

Brandon an I are trying to be patient but we are beginning to get anxious! We can't wait to meet our little ones.

34 weeks

How Far Along: 34 weeks

We saw the specialist yesterday and not much had changed since Monday's doctor visit. My blood pressure was a little high when we first got there. They checked it later and it had gone back down. I've gained 2 more pounds since Monday so now I've gained 49 lbs. altogether. My left foot and leg have officially started swelling and look just like my right. My legs are soooo heavy and I'm terrified I'm gonna fall.

They did an ultrasound and the babies are still doing great. I told the doctor I didn't think I was gonna make it after the last appointment with him 2 weeks ago....he said he didn't think I was gonna make it either. So here I am....I've made it to 34 weeks. I can't believe it. I'm taking it one day at a time because that's all I can do. I'm extremely uncomfortable and to make it another day with 2 babies in me is a BLESSING!

The doctor really didn't have anything new to tell me. He said he wouldn't be surprized if he got a phone call on Saturday saying I was in labor. I told him I would be happy!! :) I just knew that he would at least let me schedule a c-section for 37 or 38 weeks but of course for some odd reason....we have yet to schedule it. I guess he knows I won't make it that far.....but why he won't tell me that I'll never know. He did say that (1) my water is going to break or (2) I'm gonna develop preeclampsia and they'll go ahead and take the babies. I'm curious to know what's gonna happen. Brayden's head is sooo far down now that they couldn't even measure it yesterday. Both babies are still practice breathing just like their suppose to and their weighing 4 lbs. 13 oz. and 4 lbs. 12 oz. They're still an ounce off. How amazing?!

My friends tells me I "have the look"....they think it's not gonna be too much longer.
We shall see!!!! :) :)

Mr. Elephant called and wants his ankles back!

Pictures don't do my feet and ankles justice!
My socks barely cover my feet.
When I take them off....I have an indention at my ankle and the swelling goes all the way up my legs.
Sooo attractive! :) lol

Doctor's Appt Yesterday

I saw the regular doctor yesterday just for a checkup. EVERYTHING was GREAT! I couldn't have asked for a better report.

My blood pressure was perfect! No protein in my urine! The swelling is about the same {which that's not gonna change until the babies are born}.....and I have officially gained 47 pounds. WOW! I can't believe it! haha I'm definitely packing on the pounds here at the end. As of yesterday, I'm 34 weeks and I'm measuring 40 weeks.

They did an ultrasound of the babies and both are practicing their breathing exactly like their suppose to. The doctor told me if they were born now their lungs are developed and they would be just fine. They would have to stay in NICU for a little bit but they would be ok. This was a huge relief to know. We got to see Brayden's face and we are pretty sure he's gonna look just like his daddy. :) We still have yet to see Bailey's face but we did see one of her ears. Bless her heart.....I think she's gonna have my ears. haha She has more hair now too. She'll probably come out looking just like me. I had a head full of pitch black hair when I was born. I was chunky and looked like a monkey. lol

I am scheduled to see the specialist on Thursday and I'm hoping we will be able to schedule a c-section for the near future. ;)

Thank GOD for the GOOD reports here lately. We are soooo blessed and know we have tons of people praying for us!

33 weeks

How Far Along: 33 weeks

I'm a little behind on doing my posts. It's so hard for me to get motivated these days. Now that I'm on bedrest there's not alot going on around here other than laying on the couch in my pj's everyday. I have to lay on my left side with my feet propped up. {Imagine that?....that's enough to make anyone uncomfortable!}

So far I've done really well with it but I wouldn't say I'm on complete bedrest. I'd say 90%.....it's hard to stay lying down all the time. I mainly just get up to use the bathroom {which seems likes every 5 minutes} and getting water and stuff like that. I did manage to wrap a few presents but it took me 3 days just to wrap a few.....thankfully my parents came down and my mom and Brandon wrapped the rest.

My hands, feet and legs are still swollen from retaining fluid but I can tell a big difference since I'm staying off my feet more. I'm still really uncomfortable....some days are better than others.

We go back to see the regular doctor today and the specialist on Thursday. This is the first time I've had to go to the doctor twice in one week. I'll update soon! {Oh yeah....I'm 34 weeks today!!!! yippeee!!!!} :) :)

Best stocking stuffers ever

Good Report

I went to the doctor today and got a good report. My blood pressure was 131/83 and my pulse was 85. {Which is a little high for me....but not bad.} There was no protein in my urine which is great news. This means I have not developed preeclampsia yet. They still seem to think I'm going to but just don't know when. My feet and legs are still swollen but the doctor didn't seem too worried about it since my urine was fine. They did another ultrasound today and the babies are doing great. Their doing their practice breathing just like their suppose to. :) {Little Miss Bailey has more hair now...we seem to think she's gonna look just like me when I was a baby. I had alot of hair....pitch black! We have yet to see her face tho!}

I'm 33 weeks today and I'm measuring 39 weeks. I'm one big girl these days! lol. The doctor said I was doing good and she said as long as I'm doing good and the babies are doing good....they will keep them in there as long as they can.

Thanks for all the prayers and comments. It means alot!!

oh yeah......Bailey had hiccups for the first time last night. Kinda scared me and Brandon at first. We didn't know what was going on. It felt like kicks....but there was rhythm to it....then we realized what it was. She had them again about an hour ago. :)

32 weeks

How Far Along: 32 weeks
Size of Babies: Both babies are estimated to be almost 4 lbs. We saw the specialist this past Thursday and for the first time...they weren't able to get accurate measurements because of how the babies were positioned. Brayden was 3 lbs. 11 oz. and Bailey was 3 lbs. 15 oz. I find this hard to believe considering they've been 1 oz. off every single ultrasound.
Sooo...where do I start?!
My body has completely changed since last week. I saw the regular doctor last Monday and the specialist last Thursday.....from Monday to Thursday....I gained 2 lbs. My feet stay swollen all the time now and now it's starting to go up my leg. I've started retaining fluid. You can tell just by looking at my face. The specialist couldn't believe it when he saw me. He told me that he felt sooo bad for taking me out of work when he did and I was doing soo well and sooo perky and now I've "turned the corner."
All of a sudden my blood pressure has gone crazy. They checked it 4 times on Thursday while I was at the doctor's office. The first time it was high....147/80-something....I went back and told Brandon and he insisted me have them check it again. I waited a few minutes and they checked it again and it went down. When I saw the doctor, he checked it himself. It was back up again and by the end of my appt he had me sit there for about 15 minutes and checked it again. It finally had went down to 130/something {sorry....it's been crazy. I can't remember what it was...we've checked it sooo much since then.} I just knew he was about to send my butt to the hospital but luckily it went down. He said my body was just giving him warning signs that I was going to have preeclampsia but he just didn't know when. It has really scared me and I could tell my anxiety had definitely kicked in for a couple days. Brandon and I were constantly checking my blood pressure nonstop for 2 days straight which wasn't helping the situation at all. I think that just made us worry more. We've finally stopped worrying about it and have decided that if I start feeling bad.....we will just go to the hospital.

They did an ultrasound and the babies are still doing great! They checked them really closely because they haven't been moving as much. The doctor watched both of them practice breathing. He checked Brayden first. Brayden was fine. Then he checked Bailey and I'm not gonna lie....I got a little scared. He watched her for a few seconds and then all of a sudden he told his assistant...."let's get her some juice." I can't begin to tell you the things that went thru my head. I just sat there and thought to myself...."juice? juice for what? what's going on?" I drank a couple sips of the juice and then the doctor said, "Wow! It's amazing how fast that stuff works." Never once did he explain to me why I needed the juice or what in the world was going on but I trusted him that everything was fine. I did find out later that night that they do that to make sure the babies are practicing breathing just incase they come early they will be able to take their first breath. {Thanks Cayce....you calmed me down alot!!!} :)

They scheduled me for another doctor's appt tomorrow and I have to go back in and have another ultrasound and probably have some bloodwork done and my blood pressure checked. Pray that everything goes well. I'm sooo happy and thankful I made it this far without any problems. Now...I feel like it's only a matter of time. When God is ready for me to have these babies then that's when they'll come. HE knows best!
**
Best Moment this Week: My dad came down and stayed several days this past week. It helped soooo much to have him here. I hated to see him leave. He actually cried. Poor Brandon has had to do everything and my dad was able to help Brandon get some stuff done.
Also.....my mom and aunt showed up and surprised me. I was sooo happy to see them!! I was able to go to church this morning and they got me out of the house........

UNTIL
we rode out to ONE store and we just so happened to run into one of my doctors {the doctor I'm actually seeing tomorrow} and she put me on bedrest. YES YOU READ IT RIGHT.....I was standing there in the middle of the store and SHE PUT ME ON COMPLETE BEDREST. She told me to go home and lay down and I was not to get up until my appointment tomorrow. She told me I could only get up to use the bathroom and if I don't then I would end up in the hospital. I knew it was coming. I just didn't really think it was gonna happen like that.
