Summer Basketball & Cheerleading - Part 1

--Post from July--
Brayden decided he wanted to try out basketball and Bailey wanted to try cheerleading.
We signed them up for a summer league where they played every Saturday morning. Brayden practiced and then played....then Bailey practiced and cheered for the older boys.

At first....we weren't so sure we would see any more basketball in our future. lol This was Brayden's 1st time ever playing. He wasn't sure what to do but he gave it his best. For the first few games he ran up and down the court with his hands in his pockets. Brandon and I quickly fixed that problem. lol No more shorts with pockets while playing basketball. He then started throwing his arms up in the air and playing like he was suppose to. He made quite the improvement each Saturday and ended up scoring a couple goals during the season.

They played the same team every Saturday and unfortunately....they only won 1 game....which just so happened to be the last game. Little did we know...that was the championship game and Brayden's team was named the champions just for that win. We thought that was a little unfair but hey...we took it. :)'

Bailey - our little cheerleader with my dad.

We were very shocked when she said she wanted to cheer. She put her whole heart into it and enjoyed it. Of course....I think she was the best one out there. :)' She practiced her cheers all the time and even taught them to everyone. There was one day we were playing in the back yard and Bailey couldn't remember a cheer and then all of a sudden Brayden said the whole thing. lol

We were so proud to see her out there cheering.
Getting ready for the 1st game.
Brayden definitely was not a ball hog. We got frustrated because he shared it too much. lol
