Bye bye Dr. Browns!

We have gradually been weening Brayden and Bailey off the bottle in hopes to at least have them completely OFF the bottle by 18 months. We knew it would be nice to have them off of it sooner but our ultimate goal was 18 months. Thankfully, they have been doing sooo good with drinking out of their sippy cups. Bittersweet. The sippy cups have taken alot for them to get used too and I must say that Brayden has enjoyed drinking out of a bottle way more than Bailey. Bailey sorta took to the sippy cup right away; however, Brayden gracefully would push his sippy cup off his highchair and watched it as it dropped to the floor.

 

So, I'm happy to announce that.......TODAY was the first full day they went ALL day long without a bottle. Whoop whoop! I hope this continues. {Thanks Mom for all your help and keeping us on track!} Oh how nice it'll be not washing all those bottles and 20 pieces that come along with them. :0) and....it's less this Momma has to pack in that huge diaper bag of ours. ;)

oh yeah...I don't think I've mentioned that Brayden and Bailey stopped sucking their paci's right after their 1st bday party which was December 15th. It was the strangest thing....they just stopped on their own. They just wouldn't take them at all. I couldn't believe it. We just knew it was gonna be hard for Brayden to give his up but they did it and we are sooo proud of our 'lil munchkins.
