22 weeks

How Far Along: 22 weeks

Size of Babies: At our last appointment a couple weeks ago, Bailey was 13 ounces and Brayden was 14 ounces. They're growing and so am I! HAHA

Total Weight Gain: Pretty sure I've reached over 15 lbs. I'll let 'ya know after our next specialist appt.

Maternity Clothes: I can still wear some of my old clothes...just a few though.

Gender: It's a boy and a girl!!! Brayden Benton Wayne Yarbrough & Bailey Marie Yarbrough :)

Movement: Their constantly doing something in there!!! I still feel her kick more than him.
Food Cravings: Still not really craving anything....but, I have to admit I have been extremely bad here lately. I had Smithfield's sweet tea one day last week.....we made a trip to Krispy Kreme and I had 2 HOTTT FRESH glazed donuts......I ate a rice krispy treat the other day at work......I had a Snickers but it lasted me 3 days.......ohh yeahh...and last night....I had apple pie with ice-cream. {Yeah!!! I've been extremely badddd!!} :)

What I Miss: Sleep in general. I can not get comfortable.

Sleep: Same 'ol.....we officially sleep on the couch just about every night.

Symptoms now: Thank God I'm still feeling great. This is the best I've felt these past couple of weeks. I'm loving it. My feet aren't aching as much. My butt bone has started hurting a little bit when I go to sit down. The specialist said that this was normal and to be expected especially with twins. I've blowed my nose a few times and had nose bleeds.....other than that...I'm just dandy!! :) :)
What I'm looking forward to: Our baby showers next weekend at our parents. We're soo excited and can't wait to see everyone.
Best Moment this week: Brandon and I received a huge blessing yesterday that was much needed. We are sooo thankful and God A.L.W.A.Y.S. provides.
Next Appointment: We saw the regular doctor this past week. Everything went great. He checked the heartbeats and that was pretty much it. We see the specialist again in a couple weeks.

and the names are.......

Bailey Marie Yarbrough
&
Brayden Benton Wayne Yarbrough

Bailey will share the same middle name as me.

Brandon and I have always had our little boy's name picked out before we got married.
Brayden's 2 middle names are from Brandon's dad {Benton} and my dad {Wayne}.
 I wanted to use Brandon's middle name, Scott but Brandon thought it sounded to much like his name.

So after a lot of praying......
these are the names we felt like God would have us name our children. :)

Proverbs 22:1
A good name is more desirable than great riches.

Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
   before you were born I set you apart.

Isaiah 49:1
Before I was born the LORD called me; from my mother's womb he has spoken my name.

21 weeks

How Far Along: 21 weeks

Size of Babies: Baby girl is 13 ounces and baby boy is 14 ounces.

Total Weight Gain: Around 15 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: I can still wear some of my old clothes...just a few though.

Gender: It's a boy and a girl!!!

Movement: They kick all the time. The little girl kicks more than the boy. The girl kicked the mess out of me at 3:00 this morning. It sorta scared me at first. Brandon woke up....and he put his hand on my stomach and she did it again. They really like to kick during church. It's funny. This morning during church he kicked and then she kicked. Their kicking and moving around as I type!! I get these really tight knots in the front of my stomach.

Food Cravings: Still not really craving anything. I like to have ice-cream here and there but it's not something I feel like I have to have. I haven't ate orange sherbert in a while so I think I've had my fix on that. I just told Brandon last night I'm impressed I haven't really craved anything. We always thought I would eat us out of house and home when I got pregnant. haha

What I Miss: Sleep in general!!!!! I can not get comfortable.

Sleep: I'm still using 4 pillows and would use more if Brandon wouldn't kick me out of the bed. lol! My sleep is not that great. I just can't get comfortable. I'm suppose to be sleeping on my left side but the doctor told me I could sleep on my right side too if that would help. Unfortunately, neither side is comfortable. When I turn on my side, I can feel the babies adjusting too. I think they like it better when I sleep on my back. Last night, I tried to sleep in the recliner. That lasted until 3:00 this morning and then I got on the couch with Brandon.

Symptoms now: I'm still feeling great!! I hope it lasts the rest of my pregnancy. My feet ache just about everyday. It's bearable though. I did break out with some sort of rash the week before last. Brandon noticed it on my chest and arms. I got these red spots all over me. I asked the doctor the next day at work and she said it was normal to have them during pregnancy. Sometimes they go away after you have the babies and sometimes they don't. She said it had something to do with the liver. Anywho....I still have them and they show some days more than others.

What I'm looking forward to: Our baby showers in a couple weeks. :) We can't wait!!

Next Appointment: I go back to the regular doctor on Tuesday. They'll just check the babies heartbeats. We will see the specialist again in a few weeks.

We are sooo thankful that the babies are doing great and so am I!
We give GOD all the praise!

New ultrasound pics

My last specialist appt. was a week ago Friday. Everything went great! The babies are healthy and so am I. Our baby girl was 13 ounces and our baby boy was 14 ounces. The doctor checked my cervix and said I get an A+. He told me he couldn't believe how great I was doing. A few weeks ago he told me he would probably take me out of work anywhere from 22-24 weeks....now he's saying 24-26 weeks. :) He also told me he probably wouldn't let me travel to our parents after about 22-24 weeks, but now he's saying as long as I'm doing ok and we stop regularly to use the bathroom....and I rest as soon as I get there....He's going to let me travel for a 'lil bit longer. Yippeee for a good report!

Here are a few shots of our 2 'lil punkins'.
~20 weeks 4 days~
{I apologize in advance if they seem a little fuzzy.}

Twin A is the boy.
Twin B is the girl.
At the last u/s, the boy was head down and the girl was head up.

As you can see, the girl's foot is right up beside the boy's head. We witnessed her kicking him in the head. Man, she's a feisty thing. {I think she takes after me. lol}

Baby girl's heartbeat and spine
Tiny little feet.

 Baby boy's profile & heartbeat

 Baby boy with his hand open.
 Can you tell what he's doing here?
Yes, he's holding his wee-wee!
We couldn't believe it. It's starts in the womb. lol
They were unable to get a profile picture of our little girl. She's camera shy.
Maybe next time!

We got cribs!

We debated on dark brown furniture or black. We finally decided on espresso and I think it looks great!

{Thanks MommyKat & David Papaw for the cribs!!}

Cribs - Check!
Mattresses - Check!
Bedding - We're struggling.

We can't decide if we should go with one theme or two....
or
if we should do the same theme...2 different colors that go together....
or
if we should just buy one bedding set and match everything to go with that....
Oh my gosh...I never knew this would be sooo hard! haha {I'm sure I'm stressing you out already! lol}

They're 2 separate people and we both want them to have their own identity so we were thinking we would go with 2 different sets as long as they go together; however, I am all about everything matching. I think that's why I'm having such a hard time trying to figure this stuff out. Brandon and I both are horrible at making decisions. Could someone just tell us what to do?!?!?! lol

Here are a few of the sets we like~
{the 1st two sets match....one for girl & one for boy}

Lambs & Ivy Tutti Frutti 4 Piece Crib Bedding Set
The first 2 sets go good together....they match....the colors are just a little bit different...ones for a girl & ones for a boy; however, their really expensive.
The second & third one {sea animals} are soo cute. Their expensive too. I figured this set could go with both. We could buy one set and then get matching sheets, etc.
The last two are affordable. Their both really cute and if we went with these....then they would be different but similar.

So, which ones do you like?
Would you pay more just for them to match?
or get one set and make it work?
or just get 2 different sets that are similar but different and save $$?
HELP! :)

Unspoken Prayer Request

Please keep one of our close friends and her husband in your prayers. They have come to a difficult time in their life and want to make sure they seek God's guidance. They know and trust God to lead them in the right direction. I pray God will give them the strength and courage to get thru this hard time and whatever HIS will is...it will be done.

Isaiah 41:10
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you,  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

1 Chronicles 16:11
Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

James 1:2-4
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
   and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
   and he will make your paths straight.

It's a boxing match in there!

The babies are finally kicking and I can feel it. When it first started a few days ago I thought it was little gas bubbles in my stomach....{probably to much information...but you know when you have to poot and you hold it because someone is around and you get that feeling in your stomach and then the feeling goes away.....lol....ok that's what I thought it was at first but then I never pooted. I kept feeling it here and there.} After feeling it a few times, I realized it was the babies kicking. I know ya'll probably think I'm crazy but I'm just tellin' ya! :)

Some days they wiggle around more than others. Tonight....they've been kicking like crazy. Brandon actually got to feel them about 5 times. He can thank my mom for that tho! She tried to aggrevate the mess out of them before she left. haha I am sooo excited that Brandon has been able to feel them too. It's so amazing. I got tears in my eyes when they kicked his hand. We're pretty sure it was the girl that kicked so hard I could see Brandon's hand move on my stomach. I think their fighting over space already. haha

**

"Oh God,
I thought I felt something the other day, but now I'm sure of it. Someone is moving inside me. Bumping around, stretching and turning all on their own, my sweet babies are letting me know their in there. This has to be one of the most awesome highlights of pregnancy -- the day I really know for sure that someone is sharing my body. The wiggles in my tummy are ever-increasing reminders that someone else exists within me.

Father, thank You for these gentle lessons that prompt me to examine my selfish heart. I share my body now, but these bumps and bangs tell me that soon these babies will want out, and it'll be time to share our whole life. It's time to learn how to live for someone else again.

I confess that I have become far too good at being selfish, please make me better at sharing and giving. You see all the trouble spots, all the places in my character that are weak and flawed. Remove my blinders and provide me with the courage to change. I want to be in process when these babies get here. I want to be pursing the image You have in mind. I open my heart to receive Your direction.

These babies already bring great joy. Just when my mind has wandered, they squirm and stretch, and I am freshly reminded to thank You. What a privilege to feel them jump and move around. What a smile the thought of them bring. This is such an extraordinary time.
Thank You Father for the leaps within. In Jesus' name, AMEN."

As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.

Isn't God amazing!

19 weeks

How Far Along: 19 weeks

Size of Babies: As of last appt a few weeks ago....both babies were 5 ounces. According to the pregnancy twin calendar, their aprroximately 10 ounces and 9 inches long. We will find out the exact size at our appointment next week. Each baby’s skin is now covered with a fine, downy growth of hair and a white, slippery material, called vernix, which will protect their delicate skin before birth. The eyebrows, eyelashes, and hair on their heads have begun to form and the nails should be visible on their fingers and toes. We can't wait to see how much they've developed at the next ultrasound.

Total Weight Gain: I believe 12 lbs. I'll let you know after the next doctor's visit. :)

Maternity Clothes: Same 'ole stuff; however, I tried on a pair of my jeans and they still fit {well with the belly band that is! haha}

Gender: Boy & Girl....a little Brandon  & a little Stacey. We have our names picked out but we're still praying about it to make sure that's what God wants.

Movement: I feel these little boogers all the time. I haven't quite been able to figure out what's the foot and what's the arm and stuff like that but I can feel them. It feels like knots in my stomach. It's sooo funny because sometimes I can look down at my tummy and it's whop-sided. I think the little girl likes to lay sideways. She's a mess....at the last ultrasound we were trying to focus in on the little boy and the girls foot was up against his head.

Food Cravings: Haven't really been craving anything lately. I'm still loving sweet tea though! I get it on very special occasions {which means....when my dear husband allows it! lol!}

What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach. There's been so many times I wanna flop down on the couch on my stomach.

Sleep: Still sleeping with 4 pillows. That's the only way I'm somewhat comfortable. Now, I'm trying to get used to sleeping on my left side. After so many weeks, I'm not suppose to be sleeping on my back anymore. That has been a bummer. I had finally gotten used to sleeping on my back. I "try" to sleep on my left side with 2 pillows under my head, 1 body pillow that I snuggle up to and sorta stick under my belly and 1 pregnany pillow in-between my legs. Brandon wakes up during the night some nights and I've rolled to my back and he wakes me up and has me roll to my side. The only other way I'm comfortable is if I'm sitting  up on the couch. Believe it or not I sleep pretty good sitting up. {My head falls over tho! haha}

Symptoms now: I feel g-r-e-a-t!! No complaints!! I do get tired at the end of the day but that's normal for me. I did that before I was pregnant. lol Oh yeah....I forgot...my feet have started aching.

What I'm looking forward to this week: Labor Day!!! I'm off work and Brandon's out of school!!! It's gonna be a 4 day week next week. Can't wait!!!! :) :)

Next Appointment: Our next appointment is next Friday with the specialist. We can't wait to see how much our babies have grown.
